Description of the webinar:
The webinar will address the importance of scientific skills in occupational therapy as the foundation for a solid, updated, and evidence-based professional practice. It will present the experience developed by the HaCTO Project of the InTeO Group through a training initiative aimed at strengthening occupational therapists’ ability to search for, critically analyze, interpret, and apply scientific evidence in their daily practice.
In addition, concrete examples, collaborative learning dynamics, and strategies will be shared to help integrate research as a natural component of professional practice, promoting the development of a research culture within the occupational therapy community.

Global Conference on Everyday Life, Gender and Sexuality: Expanding Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science Perspectives (ELGS-OTOS)

Trier University of Applied Sciences (Germany) in collaboration with the University of Batangas (Philippines) and the International Network on Sexualities and Genders within Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science (SexGen-OTOS) is organising the Global Conference on Everyday Life, Gender and Sexuality: Expanding Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science Perspectives (ELGS-OTOS) on 25th and 26th October 2024, from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm (CEST) each day. ELGS-OTOS is an international event for occupational therapists, occupational scientists, professionals from health and social care, and everyone interested in the areas of everyday experiences, occupations, gender, and sexuality. This free online conference will feature two keynote speeches, six presentations, and two panel discussions. The international speakers will present on topics from research, education, and practice, applying their diverse perspectives on gender and sexuality from the fields of occupational therapy, occupational science, and other health and social care professions.
